The best brunch I've ever had was probably in Victoria with one of my best friends, Miranda. We had the most amazing french toast on a lovely Sunday morning before heading for a "hike" at Mount Doug. I'm actually surprised I remember the details of that day, seeing how it all happened close to a year ago. It must be the french toast that sparks such good memory ;)
Mine- fancy bread, vanilla velvet sour cream, honey, almonds and banana slices
Hers- thick toast, oranges slices, pecans and vanilla velvet sour cream
They were amazing, out of this world. I would go back to Victoria just for brunch.
And... this was my attempt at pulling a blue fox breakfast. Mostly because I was sick of my ham and cheese sandwiches and that I had almonds and oranges lying around that I wanted to use up.
My version pales in comparison but it was still pretty good. I used two slices of sunflower loaf (free from cobs bread!), a bunch of almonds, half an orange and maple syrup. Totally made it a better studying day :)
